Ladina Y. Posey| Community Engagement Coordinator

Ladina Y. Posey is the Community Engagement Coordinator for ABEP. In this capacity,  she is responsible for engaging with the North Minneapolis community to identify the needs and desires of the community. She also focuses on establishing connections with ABEP, other community organizations, and those needing a variety of financial services.

 Her goal this upcoming year is to help fulfill North Minneapolis' long mission of community independence. Having grown up in Minneapolis, she has a personal connection to the community and is passionate about seeing the success of the residents.

 LaDina comes to ABEP from Hennepin County, the largest county in Minnesota. As a county employee, LaDina has had the opportunity to work with thousands of local residents, to fulfill their needs by seeking county services and outside resources. 

What does economic power mean to me?

It’s having a voice at the largest tables. It’s recognizing the power we hold and being in unity to improve the decisions being made that affect us. It’s the ability to improve our standard of living to which we see fit. It’s limiting outside resources that allow others power over our voices.
