As the Director of Engagement for the Minnesota Credit Union Network, Ben supports credit unions through the facilitation of educational programming, product and service project management, and providing avenues for collaboration. He is particularly passionate about leading CU Forward Day, a statewide kindness initiative, and the WINcentive Savings Program, incentivizing consumers to grow healthy savings behaviors. Currently, Ben is working alongside ABEP to launch the state’s only Black-led credit union, Arise Community Credit Union.

What does economic power mean to me?

To me, economic power is the ability to which someone, or a community, can control their own future. It means independence.
